Projects related to K-12 education include teachers as members of our field teams and partnerhsips with classrooms.
Teachers as Members of the Team:
- As a part of the Teachers Experiencing Antarctica (TEA) Program, Ms. Marietta Cleckley joined the Texas A&M University Team during the 2001-2002 Field season. Recently Ms Cleckley was awarded the Antarctic Service Medal for her time at McMurdo.

In 2007 PolarTREC provided the team with n educational research experience, funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation and managed by the Arctic Research Consortium of the U.S. in which K-12 teachers participate in polar research, working closely with scientists as a pathway to improving science education.
