Post doctoral appointment to study Larsen Ice Shelf paleohistory

A three year post-doctoral position is available via an NSF funded IPY initiative (at Hamilton College) the goal of which is to investigate the depositional record of the Larsen Ice Shelf over various time scales.

 Post-doctoral position to study Larsen Ice Shelf system, sedimentology, stratigraphy, and cryosphere dynamics. A three year post-doctoral position is available via an NSF funded IPY initiative (at Hamilton College) the goal of which is to investigate the depositional record of the Larsen Ice Shelf over various time scales. Specific research expertise can be varied but are expected to focus upon the sediment and seafloor morphologic record of the Larsen Ice Shelf system. The appointment is for three years but the start up date is negotiable. The expected responsibilities include participation in marine geologic cruises to the NW Weddell Sea starting with the 2009-2010 field season.
