Subject: Science & Research

There is an a current opening for a VP of Science & Research at the World Resource Institute.  We are looking for someone w/ a PhD in science, social science (economists highly desired) who is familiar w/ sustainable development issues.  Can you think of anyone w/ 10-15 yrs of exper for whom this would be a step up or a professor at a university who enjoys mentoring researchers and reviewing and helping other people w/ their publications and work??  Position would pay approx $150-155K.   M y Managing Director wants someone w/ "gravitas" who can represent WRI to outside audiences.  But the core of the work is working w/ internal staff and being patient and interested in other people's work rather than doing their own substantive research.  So it has to be someone who's willing to read thru every WRI paper and publication and someone who's a good editor and mentor.
